I would like to provide some feedback after our recent flight from Brisbane to Perth on 25/11/16, Flight VA468, departing 17:30. The plane's cleanliness was not up to standard. There were coffee spils on my daughter's food tray (Seat 21F) and still rubbish left behind from the previous flight inside the pockets where the magazines are kept. I felt it necessary to report back to customer service, as I know how important these issues are when it comes to securing return business. Thank you
Did forget about my Velocity frequent flyer points when I booked my trip who can I contact to add my points?
On last Saturday I spent 4.5 hrs trying to make a booking. The following is roughly the sequence. a.) at approx 1500hrs I phoned to make a booking to Launceston. Due to my inability to understand what the clerk was saying it was prolonged operation, over an hour. I was about to give my FF# & credit card number when I was disconnected. b.) Undaunted I tried again, This time by web booking. Again a similar disconnect happened. c.) By this time I was feeling somewhat deeepressed, again guess what. the line dropped out.By this time it was 1920hrs. d.) The following morning after explaining what had occurred the previous day & apologizing for suggesting that I would shove it up Sir Richards derriere we finally had a booking & reference number. d.) All is not finished, on checking the itinerary later I found that the booking of the return flight from Hobart was made 2 days after my schedule. e.) Back again to Sir Richards stable of clerks that I cannot understand. The date was re organised. I was told that the Virgin would be gracious & waver the re- booking fee. I now wait patently for confirmation of my booking.
My family is currently stranded in Auckland as flight VA159 (7th July 2017) had to turn back due to heavy fog in Brisbane Airport. They landed back safely at 11pm NZ time. My family has not slept for >24 hours as they are still waiting for a hotel room. As an unfolding news, I would like to make the following comments: (1). Where are the Virgin management staff/decision makers? No one is around to provide the clueless ground staff with direction. You may have great advertisement, but your service s judge by your actions. Sir Richard may have great management theories, are they implemented by his team in their day-to-day operation. (2). Extremely poor customer service - no clear direction for 5 hours. Only provided NZD$8 food voucher (what can you buy). No one answered the emergency phone 0800 67 00 00 (one patient passenger waited 3 hours to talk to someone and is cut-off). What's the purpose of the emergency number? Since a Virgin flight has to be abandoned shouldn't Virgin make all the arrangements? (3) Lots of misinformation and confusion. (4) Extremely poor procedures - should the plane take off in the first instance? when the pilot made a decision to turn back the ground staff should be in preparatory mode – not wait hours!! Since a Virgin flight has to be abandoned shouldn't Virgin make all the arrangements? As the story unfolds... They are now in a hotel (Jet Park Hotel) - booked for a night instead of 2 (to flight to Coolangatta on a ticket with no flight number), who pays the other night? There are misleading information on meal allowance, etc. Btw, my daughter has a scheduled operation on Tuesday and if she is not back on Monday, this will go down very, very bad on Virgin. As they are now re-directed to Coolangatta. How do they travel back to Brisbane? Who pays? This is a real debacle and if Virgin New Zealand wants to gain any respect, they need to do the right things.
