Rasiah Ranjith Leon, Baskaran Kandiah, and Ratheesan Yoganathan founded Lebara back in 2001, with the goal of providing mobile services to its customers. Lebara, which has its home office in London, England, started out by offering telephone calling cards that were sold in independent locations in a small selection of countries. Since their inception, Lebara has expanded their services, as well as the number of countries where they do business.
Europe is where the bulk of their business is done, but they also operate in Australia, Sri Lanka, and Saudi Arabia.
